Two Meets in One Week

We have a meet this Saturday, a makeup meet Monday and our regular meet Thursday. What should we do on Tuesday and Wednesday for practice?

Answer by Dominique:

Hi there,
Thanks for your question about multiple races in a week. Meets should be considered as "hard" days.

With running you should usually, whenever reasonably possible, follow the hard/easy approach, i.e alternate hard and easy days.

Given your Monday and Thursday commitments I would stick to 30 minutes of easy running on Tue and Wed.

Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Dominique
