Hi there "Anonymous", Thanks for your comment. Losing weight takes some time when you start with little exercise. It is good that you are now doing 2 miles, that's a good base to build from.
I think burning 1 kg of fat requires about 3,500 calories, so you just need to build up that running a bit more to lose more calories.
I just started exercising about 7 weeks ago. I've been doing the couch to 5K--now I'm up to 2 miles running,burning 200 calories in less than 30 min. I've only lost 5 pounds and I'm very discouraged right now! Please any help or suggestions?
