I Can Run a Half Marathon, But Want to Run a Full Marathon...Any Help Out There?

I am already able to run a half marathon fairly easily. I want to enter a full marathon two months from now. Is there a training program that would get me there?

Answer by Dominique:
Hi there,
Thanks for your question about running a marathon.

What can I say? Two months is a little bit close.

Just want to finish it and fairly well-trained? Then I would say you have a reasonably good chance.

As long as you don't have any aggressive time goals, that is.

Haven't really run that much recently? Then I simply wouldn't do it.

Then again, I am not you!

Your best bet on success is the 100 Day Marathon Plan from Marius Bakken.

Marius' marathon training plan lasts a little bit longer than the roughly 60 days you have, but if you are reasonably well-trained already, you could step into the program at week 6/7 and go from there.

Best of luck.
Hope you make it, let us know how your race went!
Kind regards,
Dominique

BEST RUNNING GEAR

When you are a runner, you are doing intervals. The Gymboss is a really clever and cheap piece of running gear that makes interval running a lot more comfortable. Check out the Gymboss review to find out why.
