High School Track and Field

by Rick
(Roseville, CA)

Does the high school track and field course actually measure one mile four times around?

Answer by Dominique:

Hi Rick,
Thanks for your question.
Yes, it normally should. A normal high school track and field course is 400 metres long or thereabouts. A mile is just over 1,600 metres. 4 x 400 = 1,600.

Cheers,
Dominique
